US men are increasingly turning to a plastic surgery procedure called "ab-etching" to achieve six-pack abs without doing sit-ups.

High-definition liposuction involves sculpting the stomach muscles by removing fat from specific areas to create the illusion of a toned physique.

This procedure, popular in Brazil, has gained traction in the US. “I’m definitely seeing an increase in high-definition liposuction requests for men,” Dr. Joubin Gabbay, MD, the medical director at Gabbay Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills.

While ab-etching promises insta-abs, experts warn it's not a quick fix. Patients must maintain a healthy lifestyle to keep the results, and those with an inactive lifestyle may be ruled out.

Despite these challenges, more men now seem to want a more youthful appearance and are ditching the “dad bods.”
