In India, a teenage boy has been accused of “emotional blackmail” after going on a three-day hunger strike in an attempt to pressure his mom into buying him an iPhone.
In a video posted on X, the boy can be seen with his thoroughly depressed-looking mother being interviewed by the gentleman who owns the store where the iPhone was eventually purchased.
In the interview, the mother says she sells flowers for a living but caved in after her son refused to eat.
Now, she says she’s happy he has the phone, but expects him to earn the money the phone cost and pay it back. Good luck on that one, Mom.
