Dwayne Johnson made a powerful memory with a young fan, Kane, just days before his passing. In an emotional Instagram post, Johnson shared a March 11th video call with Kane and his family, writing, “I FELT this little boy’s SMILE, and felt this little boy’s MANA. His mana was beautiful. His mana was strong.” Johnson says he was contacted by the Make-A-Wish foundation about fulfilling a “Rush Wish” as Kane was in critical condition from an undisclosed illness.

Although Kane couldn’t speak, he smiled throughout the call and Johnson sang a personalized version of “You’re Welcome” with Kane’s twin, Dennis, noting “[Kane] may have been quiet, but in his heart, Kane was just singing away.” Johnson also saw how much Kane loved his “Moana” character Maui saying “Kane LOVED MAUI and loved bringing his Maui hook everywhere he went,” Johnson said.

Sadly, Kane passed away on March 18th, just a week later. Johnson shared his condolences to Kane’s family, “Sending all my love, light, and aloha” with Kane’s mother Christine adding “[Kane] brought so much light to everyone who met him, so I want to continue to share that light.”
