Cardi B is facing legal action from a woman who claims she was hit by the microphone the rapper threw into a crowd in Las Vegas two years ago.
According to a report TMZ published on Wednesday, July 23, a woman only known as "Jane Doe" is suing the "Outside" rapper for assault, battery, and more two years after the incident went down during a day party at Drai's Beachclub in Las Vegas. At the time, Bardi was seen on video asking fans to throw cold water during the extremely hot event. However, Doe alleges the rapper intentionally chucked a microphone at her when she threw her cold drink on her.
Cardi B had a positive reaction to other people when they splashed water on her during her performance. However, at one point, she did say the water came at her "too fast." When Doe threw her water, Cardi claimed the mixture of water and ice hit her hard.
"Let me tell you something, a b***h got muthaf**kin' assaulted," Cardi said during a livestream after the incident. "And for anybody that's got some bulls**t to f**king say, when water and ice get thrown n your f**king face and hit you mad hard, then you can come talk to me and tell me what you would do in my muthaf**king shoes b***ch."
Police investigated Cardi B and the allegations from both sides at the time and decided not to press criminal charges against the mother of three. After the dust settled, the mic Cardi threw at the woman was sold at an auction for $99,000 with the proceeds going toward two major charities. However, the woman claims the sale only "exacerbated [her] emotional distress."
The woman's attorney is set to hold a press conference about the lawsuit today. Stay tuned for more about the situation and see what The Breakfast Club had to say about it below.
