Gunna is open to broadening his horizons by working with an AI artist in the future.

The Atlanta rapper was revealed as UPROXX’s first-ever VISIONARIES cover star last Wednesday, June 22. As part of the feature, Gunna sat down with the outlet's Chief Visionary Officer will.i.am. During their chat, the Black Eyed Peas rapper argued that there will be way more AI artists in five years. After will offered him a glimpse into the future, Gunna responded, "I gotta sign me an AI artist.. fast! 100%"

"For sure need to support 'em," he added. "Get with 'em, you can't beat em."

AI has been a hot topic of discussion over the past few months. The advanced technology being used in music has sparked numerous debates over the years, but it began to gain traction in 2023 after Timbaland debuted an artificial collaboration with The Notorious B.I.G. Since then, Timbo has gotten a lot more involved with AI and even launched a new company, Stage Zero. He recently introduced his new AI artist, known as "TaTa," which is fueled by Suno AI and other AI-friendly tools under Stage Zero's umbrella.

Elsewhere in the interview, Gunna also announced the title of his upcoming album, The Last Wun. The "f*kumean" rapper recently dropped the album's first single, "Won't Stop." Wunna plans to debut the album later this year.

“It’s not a theme or a concept," Gunna said about the album. "When I create, I kind of go with how I feel. I might approach an album not knowing the title yet, and it will form. The title will come to me just through life and through living. For this album in particular, there’s no theme — it’s just in the current time of what’s happening to me.”
