The Buffalo Bills and quarterback Josh Allen have reportedly agreed to a new six-year, $330 million deal that will make him the highest-paid player in NFL history.
"A new NFL mark: the Bills and Josh Allen reached agreement on a new record-setting six-year, $330 million contract that includes $250 million guaranteed, the largest guarantee ever given to an NFL player, sources tell ESPN. Allen had four years left on his deal, but the Bills still rewarded their franchise QB with a new benchmark deal," Schefter wrote on his X account.
Allen, 28, is weeks removed from winning the the 2024 Associated Press NFL MVP award, throwing for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns and six interceptions on 307 of 483 passing, as well as recording 531 yards and 12 touchdowns on 102 rushing attempts, while leading Buffalo to a 13-4 record in 17 regular season starts.
Allen is the latest key Bills starter to be rewarded with an extension recently with defensive end Gregory Rousseau agreeing to a four-year, $80 million deal; linebacker Terrell Bernard agreeing to a four-year, $50 million deal; and wide receiver Khalil Shakir agreeing to a four-year, $53 million deal. Skair emerged as Allen's primary receiver in 2024, leading Buffalo with 76 receptions for 821 yards and four touchdowns, following the departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis in the offseason.
Allen has turned the Bills into a perennial contender, having led Buffalo to five consecutive AFC East Division titles and two AFC Championship Game appearances.
