Janet Jackson suffered an extensive wardrobe malfunction in front of Queen Elizabeth during a performance of Rhythm Nation in 1990, and still recalls the embarrassing moment.

The "Together Again" icon detailed the tricky scene in a new interview with British Vogue where she broke down her most legendary looks from 1970 to 2024. As she flipped the page to the outfit she wore to perform in front of the Queen of England, she recalled how the intricate design was created and what happened when it did not hold up.

"Funny story about this outfit. I was performing for the Queen of England and doing Rhythm Nation and sure enough, soon as I squatted, my pants split right at my booty crack. 'I couldn't believe it happened. I thought, 'Oh my God.' And then I started feeling air back there so then I knew that it had to had really happen."

Jackson even altered the choreography last minute to avoid "flashing" Queen Elizabeth.

"And the whole time it was fine until 'No, you're going to perform for the Queen of England.' So I never turned my back to her. Which some of the choreography was supposed to... I just faced forward."
